Despite Belgium’s unpredictable summer weather, summer festival season has arrived, and with it, some of the biggest pop and EDM festivals in all of Europe. Maybe the world. Every year, the country hosts wide range festivals attracting fans and party lovers from across the globe. From raves to rock and reggae, the Belgian music scene has proven more than once able to cater to every taste and preference. These aren’t just festivals … these are culture-defining gatherings for young and old.
Here are some of the biggest festivals taking place in Belgium this summer.

Couleur Café
26-28 June in Brussels
One of the staples of Brussels festival scene, Couleur Café is known for its line-up spanning afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, reggae, and electronic music. The event usually takes place at the Osseghem Park, near Brussel’s iconic Atomium. An annual event since the 1990, the festival has featured artists such as Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, Ayra Starr and Jessie J among others. The event regularly welcomes both internationals and local artist, offering festival goers a pleasant experience and a chance to learn about other cultures.
Those interested in attending the event can expect seeing a performance from Danny Ocean, Rema, Spice and Skepta. Tickets are available through the festival’s official website, though some are already sold out. You can get tickets here starting at about 64 euros.

Tomorrowland
17-19 and 24-26 July in Boom, between Antwerp and Brussels
Tomorrowland is arguably one of the most famous festivals in the world. If you think, Couleur Café is big, Tomorrowland operates on an entirely different scale. It literally attracts people from around the world, all united by their love for electronic dance music. This year’s theme is Consciencia, a mysterious dimension, where six primal emotions from the foundations form the foundations of existence.
These are are wonder, love, anger, joy, desire, and sadness, according to festival organizers. Together they create a universe that feels otherworldly but also human. To complement the theme, the festival organisers launched a special collection of dedicated merchandise featuring clothing, earplug, and other items.
Among this year’s headline acts are the biggest Names in EDM: Calvin Harris and David Guetta. Other major performers include Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Fisher.
One of the new additions this year is a stage dedicated entirely to Afro-house music. It is set to feature Danni Gato, AWEN, Thakzin, Rosey Gold, and Vanco. Unfortunately, the general admission tickets have sold out the first day as they do every year but those interested can keep an eye on waiting lists and ticket-exchange platforms. Rock Werchter
2-5 July in Werchter, just north of Leuven
Rock Werchters is among Belgium’s most popular annual festivals. Taking place in Werchter, a village near the city of Leuven, the event attracts approximately 88,000 attendees each day. Since its first edition in 1975, the festival has hosted artists such as Linkin Park, Green Day, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, and Avril Lavigne. With more than 50 years of history, according to Pollstar, the organisers have regularly adapted the festival to respond to shifts in music trends, audience expectations, and entertainment.
Rock Werchter-goes can expect to see Gorillaz, Teddy Swims, The Prodigy, Pixies, Overpass, Paris Paloma, and Last Train, among other world-renown acts.

Gent Jazz
2-18 July in Gent
The Gent Jazz festival has been around since 2022 and it has been a place where music lovers have the chance to experience a wide range of live performances. Besides jazz, the music event embraces also blues, folk, and contemporary music. According to the organisers, they “opt for music that really blossoms live, performed by strong artists who don’t think in boxes but who have the nerve and the desire to perfom.”
This year’s lineup includes Alabama Shakes, Bel Cobain, D.K. Harrell, Etuk Ubong, Helga Ameye, John Legend, Mei Semones, and many more artists. People interested in attending can buy tickets via the official website of the festival starting at about 50 euros.
Pukkelpop
20 to 23 August 20-23, Leopoldsburg in middle of nowhere Belgium near the Netherlands border
This is another big one! Founded by a local youth organization in 1985, Pukkelpop has grown from a small community festival into one of Europe’s largest music events. Today it draws about 66,000 attendees daily and demonstrates how grassroots initiatives can evolve into major cultural landmarks.
In recent years, artists such as Macklemore, Sam Smith, and The Offspring have performed at the festival. For 2026, Pukkelpop has some huge names from pop and EDM including Wet Leg, Kolsch, Adriatique, Sombr, Zara Larsson, Dom Dolla, Jazzy, Leisure, Lambrini Girls, Mala, Novah, and Rose Gray are among the 100-plus artists that will take the stage in this year’s edition of the festival.
