New for 2025 (updated): Dispatches’ global list of music festivals including EDM, industry events and more

It’s that time of year – late winter – to start thinking about booking EDM and techno festivals and events across the globe. Where will you go in 2025? Portugal? Netherlands? Morocco? Belgium? So many choices, which is why we’ve started Dispatches’ annual list of the best.

A list that will be updated into the fall.

Of course, the biggest festivals such as Glastonbury, Tomorrowland and Tomorrowland Winter sell out in minutes, so we’ll skip those this year. Yes, we know there are waiting lists, but we’ve never known anyone who got tickets that way.

So, let’s look at the first festivals of 2025 that actually do have tickets:

MOGA Caparica

28 May to 1 June, Costa da Caparica, Portugal

MOGA Caparica’s 2025 edition has announced the first artists for the 5th edition of this EDM festival in Portugal this May, a beach festival on the Atlantic coast with three stages.

Taking place 28 May thru 1 June, the festival is expected to host about 28,000 festival goers over the five days. Acts include sets from Arapu, Dan Ghenacia, DJ Harvey, Jamie Jones, Luciano, Traumer and many more artists who have been revealed in this initial announcement.

Early bird tickets start at 120 euros for a three day pass, and they’re still available here. But they will not last because this a beach festival in Portugal. Come on …

If you miss this one, there’s always MOGA Essaouira in Morocco coming up in October. Stay tuned for details.

Docklands Festival

31 May, Münster, Germany

Docklands Festival returns for its 15th anniversary with nearly 24 hours of non-stop music across a gritty urban backdrop in Münster. Docklands conjures the days of classic raves, with multiple stages across Münster’s Hawerkamp city center for house, techno, trance and tech.

Docklands features Solomun making his first appearance at the festival since 2016, as well as a set featuring ÂME and DJ Holographic. For a one-day thing, this is kind of a big deal, with 15,000 guests from more than 20 nations and approximately 100 acts on four open-air stages, according the Docklands website.

Tickets start at 63 euros and you can get yours here.

Primavera Sound

5 thru 7 June, Barcelona

This might be this year’s biggest festival. The 2025 Primavera Sound brings some huge acts to Parc del Forum in Barcelona including Chappell Roan, Charlie XCX and Sabrina Carpenter. As you might imagine, this is a pretty popular event, but a few tickets are left, mostly in the VIP category. You can get yours here.

Capacity for the forum is something like 70,000 people.

Hideout Festival

22 thru 26 June, Zrce Beach on Pag Island, Croatia

Hideout Festival is back for its 15th annual beach party in Croatia. What is Hideout Festival? Well, here’s what the media release we got says about that: “Hideout is five days of non-stop musical action, adventure and holiday escapism on Zrce Beach.

This not a single gathering, but an event with acts across five clubs: Noa, Papaya, Kalypso, Aquarius and Euphoria. There are also boat and pool parties.

For the anniversary, held in a collaboration with BBC Radio 1 Dance X, names include Ben Hemsley, Chris Stussy, Doorly, DJ Gigola, LF System, Sam Divine, and more. The BBC Radio 1 Dance X Beach Party is also back, featuring Chloé Caillet, Danny Howard, Eliza Rose b2b Sarah Story and others. Many, many others … too many to list here.

You can see the full lineup here.

You can get tickets here starting at 129 pounds.

You can also book accommodations through the Hideout website.

Roskild Festival

28 June thru 5 July, Roskilde, Denmark

We are late with this, but Roskild still has tickets and an eclectic 2025 line-up that includes Olivia Rodrigo, Stormz, Charlie XCX, Nine Inch Nails, Jaime XX, Wet Leg (one of our favorites), country singer Vincent Neil Emerson and a ton of acts from Denmark we never heard of.

Roskilde is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter and all the profits go to charity because this is actually more than a festival … it’s a charitable event.

Full festival tickets start at 2,550 Danish krone, or about 341 euros and you can get yours here.

Awakenings

11 thru 13 July, Hilvarenbeek, The Netherlands

This dance/EDM festival is a coming of age tradition in the Netherlands, with kids coming back with their parents.

The iconic three-day techno weekender will take place 11 thru 13 July, with approximately 100,000 techno enthusiasts expected to attend the event in Hilvarenbeek, just south of the college town of Tilburg near the Belgium border.

This is one of multiple “Ultra” festivals from Miami to Taiwan. Ultra Europe is in Split on the Croatian coast. We don’t see any acts posted yet on the website, but Ultra draws top Names such as Armin Van Buuren, Adam Beyer and Hardwell.

Love Family Park

12 & 13 July, Frankfurt

One of Germany’s big open-air techno/House festivals, Love Family Park, is back at Rebstockpark in Frankfurt am Main for its 26th year. This year, LFP is earlier in the summer, so best not to wait to get tickets. Major acts include Adriatique, Dixon x Jimi Jules, Marco Carola, Nina Kraviz, Sven Väth and the Martinez Bros.

Tickets start at 49 euros and you can get yours here.

Les Plages Électroniques

This is another festival that will sell out quickly. Les Plages Électroniques has some pretty big Names this year including  Charlotte De Witte, Eric Prydz, Peggy Gou, Tiësto, Booba, Luidji, Francis Mercier, Jersey, Kungs, Purple Disco Machine and Trym.

In 2024, the festival had its biggest year drawing 60,000 fans to see 90 acts. And you know EDM has made it big when the festivals are sponsored by banks, in this case Crédit Mutuel.

There are still tickets left and day passes start at 55 euros. You can get yours here.

Rock en Seine

20 thru 24 August,  Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, near Paris

This, like Roskilde, is a very eclectic festival, with everything from EDM to pop. But it has some very big names for 2025 including Chappell Roan, Vampire Weekend, London Grammar, A$AP Rocky, Queens of the Stone Age and a duo we haven’t thought about for years, but love, Empire of the Sun from Australia.

Rock en Seine (get it? Rock insane?) is just outside Paris. You can get tickets here. Revolut is a sponsor, so you get a discount if you use the digital financial transaction platform.

NIBIRII Festival

22 thru 24 August, Düren, Germany

NIBIRII is a festival for EDM fans who want to experience a unique open-air festival at the swimming lake in Western Germany, close to North Rhine-Westphalia cities such as Aachen and Cologne (Köln). Announced acts include AZYR, I Hate Models and Scottish DJ Hannah Laing. Berlin’s techno powerhouse Kobosil brings his uncompromising, dark, and hypnotic sound. These setting for this intense music, funnily enough, is the serene Dürener Badesee, a recreational lake with a designated swimming area ideal for the warmer months.

There are four stages and guests are welcome to bring their camping equipment to fully embrace the open-air festival vibe on all three days or rest and recover at local hotels.

Day tickets start at 79 euros and you can get yours here. And no, we have no idea what NIBIRII stands for.

BEONIX Festival

19 thru 21 September 19-21, EKTO venue, Limassol, Republic of Cyprus

This festival way down in Cyprus sold out last year, and we see why. Acts this year include Armin van Buuren, Boris Brejcha, and Adriatique. Three major Names.
