PAMPLONA, SPAIN. Stoke Travel is set to bring their Stoked in the Park music festival concept to Pamplona for the San Fermin Festival (the Running of the Bulls).
Stoked in the Park is now in its third year in London, drawing 5000 revellers to West London each May for a day of sport, culture, food and especially music.
But Stoked in the Park Pamplona will follow a different formula. Established to act as a compliment to San Fermin’s famous street parties, Stoked in the Park Pamplona will focus more on music and food than sport, although there will be friendly team sport opportunities available to the energetic.
In lieu of sporting competitions, Stoked in the Park Pamplona will feature local and international bands and DJs, food trucks, local food and wine tasting, pool parties, adult games and activities, including mini golf.
The festival will be set adjacent to Stoke Travel’s San Fermin accommodations, located in the legendary El Molino campsite. El Molino is the premier location in the Pamplona area, with vast grass areas, plenty of trees for shade, and an authentic Navarrese aspect alongside the Arga river, surrounded by the province’s rolling hills, alongside the gorgeous village of Mendigorria.
Music will be provided by international acts Hiaground, Kiwi Pips, Paul The Kid, Honey Hayze, and Mesmeriser, most of which making the journey from Australia for the festival. While DJs will ensure that the party goes well into the evening.
Food trucks will be on site providing Spanish cuisine, including paella, as well as Australian meat pies and local delicacies, especially the vino tinto that the region is famous for.
The festival will provide perfect pre and post-party opportunities for travellers interested in the San Fermin festival and its controversial bull run. It also seeks to stand alone as an alternative festival for travellers who are less interested in the bull run component of the San Fermin celebrations.
For travellers staying with Stoke Travel during San Fermin, Stoked in the Park is included in their stay at no extra cost. They will still enjoy the benefits of staying with Stoke Travel, including meals, pre-erected twin-share tents with mats and sleeping bags, and experienced Stoke Travel guides, as well as having full access to the festival. Stays with Stoke Travel for Pamplona start at €60 per day.
For those not staying with Stoke Travel for San Fermin Stoked in the Park two-day passes are available for €30.
This is a new way to enjoy European festival travel and Stoke Travel is excited to bring the concept to Pamplona for San Fermin in 2018. For a long time Stoke Travel has been the festival travel company that gets the party started and with Stoked in the Park we’re continuing that tradition.
