Berlin Pass adds new attractions including Legoland Discovery, Sealife Berlin and Berlin Dungeon

Okay, it’s the Dispatches Europe policy to go light on news releases. But ever once in a while, real news comes disguised as publicity.

We just saw this on PR Newswire, The Berlin Pass sightseeing pass card has just added new attractions, and boy, could we have used this last year when our family was shelling out big money for all the museums and attractions.

Berlin Pass is a pay-one-price deal that gives you access to more than 60 of the city’s top attractions and tours. So, instead of shelling out at each destination/activity, we could have paid one discounted price for the Berlin Pass, and gotten into the city’s top destinations including the must-see Pergamon Museum, Checkpoint Charlie Museum and the river cruise.

(Also, apparently there’s a sale that ends tomorrow, so don’t delay if you’re heading to one of Europe’s coolest cities this year.)

New additions to the popular Berlin Pass include:

• LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTRE

Designed specifically for 3-10 year olds to enjoy, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre brings together more than 5 million LEGO® bricks under one roof.  Jump aboard the Dragon Ride, build the fastest car at LEGO Racers, or take on the lasers at LEGO® Ninjago.  And take a quick and easy mini-tour of Berlin at LEGO Miniland: the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag and Berliner Dom cathedral are just a few metres apart in this two million-brick construction!

Normally priced at €18.50 per person, entry to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is now included with the Berlin Pass.

• SEALIFE BERLIN

Get up close and personal with more than 5,000 aquatic creatures at Sealife Berlin, with seahorses, common octopuses and eagle rays some of the most popular locals to visit!  Another big highlight at Sealife is a glass elevator ride in the 25-metre tall AquaDom  –  the world’s largest cylindrical tank.  Observe 1,500 fish of 97 different species as you make the journey…

Normally priced at €17.95 per person, entry to Sealife Berlin is now included with the Berlin Pass.

• MADAME TUSSAUDS BERLIN

Rub shoulders with celebrities from the worlds of film, music, politics, sport and many more at Berlin’s Madame Tussauds.  Feel the full power of the Force at the immersive Star Wars exhibit, grab a selfie with Johnny Depp in the ‘A List’ zone or shake it off with Taylor Swift in the music zone.

Normally priced at €23.50 per person, entry to Madame Tussauds Berlin is now included with the Berlin Pass.

Kids aged 10 and above will laugh and scream their way through 700 years of Berlin’s horrible history at the Berlin Dungeon.  Live actors relate gripping stories of the twisted monk Pater Roderich and the Royal-haunting ghost the White Lady, while state-of-the-art special effects and exciting rides add to the fun.

Normally priced at €20.50 per person, entry to the Berlin Dungeon is now included with the Berlin Pass.

A two-day Berlin Pass costs 93 euros for adults and 49 euros for children (aged 6-14 years), while a three-day pass is 115 euros for adults and 59 euros for children.  The Berlin Pass can also be purchased with a Travelcard giving visitors unlimited use of the city’s public transport services during their stay.  A free 95+ page guidebook is included with every pass.

You can buy your Berlin Pass here. (The pass can be shipped to customers prior to travel or collected on arrival in the city, according to the website.)
