Can’t make it to Burning Man? Why not head out to nowhere with a few thousand friends at the annual Nowhere Festival in Northern Spain 3 through 8 July.
Held between the towns of Zaragoza and Lleida, the Nowhere Festival is a week-long “culmination of the music, languages, art, outfits, workshops, words, parties and people of a diverse, international community.” The biggest tenants of the gathering are to leave no trace it ever happened, and to be free to express yourself.
Tickets are 160 euros, and you can them here until 22 June. After that, you can monitor the Nowhere Festival’s FB page for unwanted tickets. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until next February to experience the Burning Man of the Iberian Peninsula.
PS – Make sure to bring an Identification to Nowhere Festival. The Spanish police are requiring organizers to keep a log of the name, nationality and an ID number for everyone on site. This will be kept in an actual log at gthe ate – NOT digitally – only to be used in cases of emergency.
