Luxexcel has developed and is commercializing 3D print solutions for eyewear lenses and we are currently the only company in the world offering 3D printing for lenses. The Technology is uniquely positioned to combine prescription with encapsulation of smart devices into lenses. With our technology our customers can create lenses that are look like regular lenses, provide durability to the smart eyewear and correct vision.
The company has several VisionPlatforms installed across Europe and North America and will be installing several more in the foreseeable future.
The Production Engineer is responsible for the processes of pre-production (volume scale-up), continuously adapts and optimizes the production processes and provides support in connection with the organization.
As a Production Engineer you:
Deliver technical support for the production process and finds the root cause of technical disturbances and prevents them from reoccurring.
Are responsible for the work preparation in the broadest sense. Lays down operating instructions, process flow charts, production sequence, production tooling, process parameters and indicators.
Continuously analyze the production processes, points out structural problems and bottlenecks, works out suggestions for improvements and initiates their implementation, often in close cooperation with the surrounded departments as R&D and Application Development.
Work directly with the customer to ensure a proper integration with the remaining production steps for the end product after the lenses are printed.
It is expected that the person taking up this role:
Taking ownership of the responsibilities,
Communicates very clearly external and internal,
Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis in technical environments,
Combining an analytical approach with a hands on mentality,
Focused on quality, continuous improvement.
The following experience is a preference:
Experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes.
Experience in the field of Technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control (SPC) and methods such as FMEA is an advantage.
Experience in the field of (semi-) automated production lines and control is an advantage.
We believe that in this role the person should:
Higher Technical College (bachelor) Mechanical/ Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics,
Have experience in a similar role,
And last but not least: willing to be part of a scale-up environment.
Position & Location
This position is part of the Product team which is responsible for the core printing R&D and application development. You will be trained in Turnhout and based in Eindhoven.
