We just this from Carina Low at ListenUp – two good reasons to head to Malta in July. including a FREE Liam Gallagher concert.
On 17 July, Radio 2’s “Friday Night Is Music Nights’ –Light’s, Camera, Malta!” will feature the world-famous BBC Orchestra playing classic film soundtracks including from the many movies shot over the years in Malta.
The show is free, but if you want VIP seating, the price is 86.40 euros and you can get tickets here.
On 18 July, you can catch Noel Gallagher’s kid brother Liam and his band Beady Eye playing long, hard and loud including some of the Oasis hits. Rumor has it Liam has started playing “Lyla” and other hits from the old days. But he’s also supporting his new album, “As You Were.”
The news release refers to Noel’s “charisma and playful antics.” Playful. You know, like trying to kill your brother backstage with a guitar. Should be interesting. Oasis was one of the greatest (the greatest?) bands in rock n’roll history. Can Liam bring the magic???
Amazingly, this is a FREE concert! FREE! But if you want VIP, it’s 108 euros. Which would be a deal anywhere else considering he just sold out a London gig in 90 seconds. Nine-zero.
Crankin’ up “Come Back to Me” right now ….
