The Hague-based Connecting Women is hosting a workshop, “Let yourself bloom,” which will address self-care in this frantic world.
“Self-care is a necessary and powerful antidote to offsetting life’s challenging and demanding pace,” according to a Connecting Women news release.
The event – scheduled for Mon., March 7 – is a collaborative effort between BLOOM – House of Health, Connecting Women and Images Photography Club. The evening includes a program with information and practical workshops “to soothe your body, mind, and soul,” according to the release. “Let yourself bloom” will differ from previous Connecting Women events in that there will be two rounds of workshops and attendees are asked to choose when registering.

Here’s the breakdown of seminars:
1) “To detox or not… Hype or trend, hip or (n)hot?” by Stana van Ginkel
There’s is more to it than you might think. Nutrition plays an important role, but trace elements and vitamins are essential too! During this speedy seminar you’ll learn more about the phenomenon Detox, what is does to you and what science thinks of it. Join this workshop to find out, if it fits your needs.

2) “Moving through Motherhood” by Kim Brice
Do you ever react to your children in a way that you later regret or are even ashamed of? In this active and playful workshop, you will learn how you can begin to break this negative spiral.

3) “Acupuncture (TCM)” by Linda Chen

4) “Switch on” by Jeanette van Uffelen

2) “Dealing with change? Try a new perspective with the Systemic way of thinking.” by Barbara Piper

4) “Mindful eating” by Roxanne van Oeveren
Mindfulness is an ability everyone possesses and can develop with the use of training. You can cultivate mindfulness in every aspect of your life, also in your eating habits; that’s what mindful eating is! With mindful eating we increase our awareness of whatever eating habits there may be and thereby awaken the joy that food brings us.

As part of the event, attendees can sign up for one-on-one chats with the experts to get more tips and support. The one-on-ones will take place during the breaks, but attendees are asked to sign up for each personal meeting. During breaks, attendees are free to network, learn more about Connecting Women and the Images Photography Club, or just enjoy drinks and snacks.
There will also be an opportunity to get a short massage – announce your wish to have one at the end of the registration.
By the way, the release state that as this is a joint event, Connecting Women is opening it to everyone: “Feel free to bring a friend of your partner to this evening and share it in your network.”
The entrance fee for non-CW members is 10 euros. BLOOM will send an invoice to registered attendees beforehand. Late registrations can be paid by PIN card at the event itself.
